Made famous through TV commercials, You Tube and a Bond movie, Parkour has become a stylish new way to interact with the urban environment. Running through, around and over obstacles, Parkour is characterized by speed, agility, and coordination.
Calgary has its very own Parkour group, No Limits
, and they have been using downtown as their playground.
To help with Stylocity – a week of fashion, food, fitness, art, accessories and entertainment in downtown Calgary – No Limits put on a Parkour demonstration at Eau Claire market. Choreographed to music, the men and women of No Limits ran, jumped, flipped, and generally flew through a routine that amazed all those who stopped to watch.
Next time you’re downtown, stop to watch these guys in one of the many spaces they use to practice – you’ll be amazed.
