Street Style Huntress: Beginner Style!

by Aldona Barutowicz · 0 comments

When I was growing up, as much as I loved being friends with boys, building tents, climbing fences and participating in bike races, I did so with much grace and girly flair. I would wear white knee socks, an adorable dress and a cute hair-do. My nails would be painted and I’d cry if I accidentally got a rip in my stockings.

Even my first memories include a serious burst of style. I’ve always loved to get dressed up and put together outfits, and I truly believe that my love for fashion, beauty and style has been present since I stole a red lipstick from my mom’s purse and painted my face, the walls and the kitchen cupboards.

So this month’s street style is inspired by these beginner fashion memories, as I captured some adorable young ladies whom are well on their way to becoming serious style mavens.

I found a few of lovely outfits below during this year’s Kid’s Fest, and a few others while street style hunting downtown Calgary. I found a lot of pink, some serious poses, and a lot of enthusiasm. I only wish that I could meet these young ladies again and see how their styles evolve over time, but for now, let us celebrate some amazing beginner style!
