Calgary FunnyFest 2012

Do you like stand-up comedy? How about comedy? How about just laughing?

For the 2 people who answered ‘No’ to all three of those questions, then I have to break it to you that there is nothing in this blog post for you. This post is all about FunnyFest kicking off May 31st for it’s 12th annual festival of stand-up comedy.

Promising 11 days, 11 venues and 11,000 punchlines (comedians aren’t very good at math FYI) the fest features a wide array of performers, at a wide array of different shows. From the kid friendly laughter of the ‘Family Show’ to the over the top silliness of Chris Gordon, all the way to the hilariously furious-yet-concise rantings of Simon King, the fest has something for everyone!

Check out some of the downtown venues hosting events over the next 11 days, and buy tickets on the FunnyFest website.

  • The Libertine
  • The Below Deck Tavern
  • The John Dutton Theatre (Calgary Public Library)
