Schmancy Style

It’s that time of year again. What time of year, you ask? Time to get Schmancy with the Glenbow Museum. Schmancy is the now-annual fancy fundraiser spearheaded by the Glenbow’s young-minded philanthropist club, Pivot Glenbow. Last year’s inaugural event was such a success (with pop culture dreamboat Jian Ghomeshi heading the night’s events) that Pivot decided to plan another fantastic event. 2013 brings another media favourite, George Strombolopolous to Schmancy as the feature presentation of the fabulous evening. Besides having so much fun with your friends and enjoying an incredible night of arts and culture, you’ll also be putting the price of your ticket towards the continuation of incredible and important programming at the Glenbow Museum. It’s a win-win situation!

Now, if you saw any of the photos from last year’s event and if the name of the party doesn’t give you any clues, this is the kind of party where you definitely need to *bring it* in the fashion department. Luckily, for you the people behind Schmancy have thought of everything. As a pre-cursor to Schmancy they are hosting Schmancy Style, a fashion show showcasing glittering and gorgeous get-ups that you can purchase right in downtown Calgary at Holt Renfrew. That’s right - talk about getting an easy A in style thanks to the fine folks at Schmancy. Tickets are $25 and the event is hosted at Belgo Brasserie on January 24th. Get your tickets here!
