Bicycle Safety Awareness

by Downtown Calgary · 0 comments

Keep your eyes out on Stephen Avenue (Near the Bay) on April 24th & 25th between 11am and 1pm for some friendly faces who want to keep you safe on the streets.

The Calgary Downtown Association and Alberta Bike Swap have partnered to help make bicycle commuting in the city safer.

Bylaw and City Police officers will be joined by representatives from CAN-BIKE and the Alberta Bike Swap to answer questions and give advice on how to cycle safely in urban environments.

Many of us already know the basics, but the rules of the road can sometimes be confusing for both cyclists and motorists so this event aims to create more awareness for safety. Feel free to ask any questions you might have, get more information on taking a CAN-BIKE course, and check out some sweet commuter bikes from local bike shops in the process.
