Calgary International Film Festival 2014 preview

by Downtown Calgary · 0 comments

The Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF for short) is a 10 day celebration of film in Downtown Calgary.

Running September 18th to 28th, this year’s tagline for the festival is “200 stories lighting up 20,000 faces”. That’s 200 short and feature length films coming to a screen near you!

The bulk of the screenings will be taking place at either The Globe Theatre or the Eau Claire Cineplex Odeon, with galas at the Globe Cinema and Theatre Junction GRAND.

Too numerous to list here, the films coming to CIFF range from International Award Winners to locally and nationally produced films. The fest also includes foreign language films (think subtitles), animated films (both short and feature length), documentaries and even a Youth Film Competition.

There really is something for everyone! Buy tickets on the Calgary International Film Festival website and check them our on Twitter and Facebook.
