NEW SHOP: JERMYN STREET 1664

by Kait Kucy · 0 comments

Jermyn Street 1664 is officially open! This purveyor of fine British tailoring in the form of high quality shirts, suits and accessories is going to take the corporate Calgary crowd by storm. Popping into the boutique you’ll immediately find some seriously gorgeous pieces that will transform your wardrobe into something worth talking about.

Jermyn Street 1664 aims to meet the needs and the desires of a new breed of fashion conscious minded consumers which is obvious with their handsome selection of menswear. The men in this city are seriously getting a really great boutique scene - us ladies are slightly jealous. The company aims to capture the essence of the internationally renowned street in London, England which holds a worldwide reputation for high quality British artistry and craftsmanship. Whether its formal dressing, off-duty casuals or premium pieces, Jermyn Street 1664 will carry high-end brands that are known for their styling and quality.

The store offers up a stunning selection of luxury shirt and suit tailoring styles, cuts, colours and fits, plus an array of accompanying accessories including shoes, belts, ties and pocket squares. I even spotted some Union Jack Austin Mini cuff-links - a perfect nod to their British Roots.

CEO, Ako Ufodike says, “We’re incredibly excited to be launching our first North American store in Calgary and really pleased to be able to bring customers something different, access to some of Britain’s finest and longstanding heritage brands such as Hawes & Curtis which has been around since 1913. It’s a unique offering that we’re bringing to Canadian customers, particularly those that are fashion conscious and have a great appreciation for quality and craftsmanship.”

Each aspect of the boutique has been thoughtfully designed and curated - right down to the bold shelf wall stocked with brightly coloured shirts. The incomparable Jermyn Street 1664 is located on the third floor (+30 level) of the Core Shopping Centre, next to Roots and across from Harry Rosen.
