Phil & Sebastian Have Arrived in Downtown Calgary!

by Downtown Calgary · 0 comments

If you’re a long-time Calgarian, or just really into the local coffee scene, you’re probably familiar with Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters. We are pleased to finally welcome them to the downtown core! The new coffee shop is located in the Hudson Block (shared with ATB Financial) at 102 8th Avenue SW.

The store layout and design is very “San-Fran” inspired, with a very open layout and a warm environment. This particular location offers a few extra goodies that other Phil & Sebastian locations don’t offer - the first being a unique partnership with Market Collective. Near the back of the store, shelves are filled with the work of five different artists that are all available for purchase! The artists are selected by Phil & Sebastian and all include very different pieces of art work (as seen below).

Phil & Sebastian have also teamed up with Plant to literally bring their shop to life. All of the plants you will see are real! It’s a very warming, nice touch - especially on a cold winter day!

Besides the obvious delicious coffee choices, Phil & Sebastian also offer a unique selection of baked goods, treats, sandwiches, soups and salads. The majority of the baked goods are baked themselves daily - but they have also teamed up with Sidewalk Citizen for items such as salads, soups, and sourdough bread for their open-faced sandwiches. The above are a few photos of their baked goods, as well as some of their open-faced sandwich choices (pictured: Ham and Veggie).

Phil & Sebastian: Stephen Avenue location officially opens tomorrow: Thursday, December 8th! Stop by and warm yourself up with a hot beverage and toasty sandwich.
