This week: June 17 to 23

Summer begins this week and we could not be happier! Join us in #DowntownYYC for some fun in the sun and celebrate the diverse and loving culture that radiates through our beautiful city.

#IAMDOWNTOWN Summer Stage Line Up

Arts Commons Presents – National Indigenous People’s Day Celebration: Arts Commons is proud to host this National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration with a FREE Mini Pow Wow featuring traditional drumming from Eya-Hey Nakoda, song and dance, as well as FREE Early Years Drop-In workshops. Join us for these free, all-ages events! No ticket or RSVP is needed.

Indigenous Day Live: Indigenous Day Live is the largest national celebration in recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day and the summer solstice in Canada. There are free daytime celebrations and activities followed by an evening concert (pre-show: 4:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. / IDL concert: 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.).

Cool Choir Unplugged: Get ready to experience a whole NEW side to Calgary’s coolest choir, Cool Choir, as this year we perform an eclectic mix of rock and pop songs past to present at the beautiful, acoustically-stunning Knox United Church. Featuring hits by Pink Floyd, Jackson 5, One Direction, Alicia Keys, Billy Joel and many more! Cool Choir will also be performing the world premier of an exclusive new arrangement of Jann Arden’s latest single ‘Mother Mine’ (as featured on her new sitcom ‘Jann’).
