Latin Fiestaval Calgary 2012

by Downtown Calgary · 0 comments

Get your dancing shoes on and get ready to mambo to the beat of another drum. The Fiestaval Latin Festival takes place this weekend in downtown Calgary, and the festivities are set to turn up the heat downtown.

Fiestaval is a free, outdoor event scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, July 21st and 22nd at Olympic plaza. Fun for the whole family, Fiestaval aims to unite the Latin community in Calgary and share the unique cultures represented in our city with everyone. From Mexico to the southern most tip of Chile, Latin America has a lot of diversity to offer.

Mambo, Salsa, Capoeira, Zumba and much more, the full spectrum of Latin music and dance will be represented this weekend by local and international artists.

Headlining Sunday evening is Toby Love and his 13 Piece Show Bachata, an artist hailing from NYC and Puerto Rico. With millions of views on Youtube, and a seductive male falsetto, Toby Love is sure to get the crowd at Olympic Plaza moving!

Check out the Fiestaval website for more information on all of the festivities, and check out the video below for a song from Mr. Love himself.
