Devonian Gardens Grand Opening

The trees are planted, the fish are swimming, and the ribbon has been cut! After almost 3 years of renovations the Devonian Gardens have re-opened to the expected fanfare.

Amongst the usual cast of City of Calgary officials, were excited Calgarians who wanted to be the first to get a glimpse at the newly renovated facilities.

For those new to Calgary, or for our many guests that will be visiting, the Devonian Garden is Calgary’s only indoor public park. One of the largest of it’s kind, it’s an indoor oasis of plant-life and running water in the middle of our city’s densest urban area. Admission is free, just like any other Calgary city park. Citizens and visitors are encouraged to stop by, have their lunch or just hang out a while.

For those interested in planning events, look forward to facilities available for weddings, meetings and much more. The space is large, friendly and the air has a certain freshness that only living plants can provide.

So stop by! Bring a lunch, a book or even your laptop for some Friday afternoon telecommuting, you’ll be glad you did.
