Christmas In Seville

Journey to Seville for joyous Christmas music one might hear in this most colorful of Spanish cities – lively villancicos (carols), sacred motets from the Renaissance by Guerrero and Victoria, and popular favorites like Feliz Navidad. December 2-4, 2017

December 2 - 4, 2017, enjoy a variety of Calgary choirs as they get together to perform for a worthy cause, The Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank. Non-perishable food items or a donation to the Food Bank is welcomed for admission to the festival. The evening also includes carol singing with the audience.

A Cowtown Christmas

This might just be the only holiday production where you can get away with wearing your pyjamas — in fact, there will even be a prize for whoever wears the best festive onesie. At this one-night production by Cowtown Opera, expect a mix of performances by the local opera company’s professional opera singers and its children’s chorus, as well as appearances by people like Andrew Phung of the CBC sitcom Kim’s Convenience. The Heebee-jeebees, a local acapella group, will act as hosts during A Cowtown Christmas, which runs from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on December 9.

Cantaré Children’s Choir present In the Bleak Midwinter
