Diamonds are nice, but butter poached Nova Scotia Lobsters are a girl’s new best friend!

If you’re looking for a delicious night out with your better half, many downtown restaurants are offering up special Valentine’s Day menus. Here are some mouthwatering highlights from their multi-course menus.  Reserve asap to avoid disappointment.

HOME Tasting Room

Roast squash salad with toasted pumpkin seeds, crispy sage and feta. Alberta Beef Wellington with scalloped potatoes and green beans. Raspberry chocolate tarte.  Click here to view the full menu.


SKY 360

Roasted sunchoke and garlic soup with sunchoke chips. Fraser Valley Duck Breast with Hoisin crepe, port and date puree, micro cilantro. Vanilla brown butter cake with warm vanilla crème brule filling and amaretto cherries.  Click here for restaurant information.


River Café

Butter poached Nova Scotia Lobster with Okanagan leek risotto, Hidden Rose apple, pea tendrils. Leffer Farm Chiogga beet & blood orange salad with Fairwinds Farm Aerated Chèvre, watercress, fennel, grilled frisée. Qualicum Bay scallops with wild boar pancetta, crispy cauliflower, slow cooked Swiss Chard and Brassica Mustard Anglais. Click here to view the full menu.









CHARCUT Roast House

Dungeness crab chowder with black pepper and buttermilk biscuits. Slow roasted heirloom beets with house-made soft goat cheese, mint, basil. Spragg Farm’s Porchetta “pork loin and belly spit roasted with fennel and rosemary” with Brassica mustard gravy, pancetta and apple scones.  Valrhona Chocolate Fondue with banana, CHARCUT bacon and short bread cookies for dipping. Baked goat cheese and slow-roasted garlic flatbread plate with warm naan bread, crisp Ciabatta toasts, spiced cranberry relish and fig jam. Grilled Mediterranean Chicken, goat cheese, Asian greens, chickpeas, roasted grape tomatoes and pomegranate molasses. Rush Restaurant & Bar

Duo of smoked and cured salmon, heart or palm, horseradish chantilly, black truffle, foie gras “au torchon”, strawberry sponge, parsnip, and black pepper short bread. The Cellar Wine Store

On Wed, Feb. 15th The Cellar Wine Store on Stephen Avenue will play host to “The Sweet and the Sticky for Valentine’s Day” where you can try a variety of sweet wines with desserts paired to match.  Click here for more details.





The Rimrock at the Fairmont Palliser

Death by Chocolate is available every Monday evening between 5:30pm-9:00pm at The Rimrock.
