ContainR Calgary

by Downtown Calgary · 0 comments

If you live or work downtown, you’ll have seen shipping containers pass by on the train tracks as they head towards their final destination. What’s in them, and where they are going probably never crosses the mind of the average Calgarian, but the ContainR project aims to change all that.

The ContainR project is a melange of multidisciplinary art and entertainment built in to several shipping containers and located in the East Village.

Each of the recycled shipping containers is being inhabited by a local arts group and being transformed in to a work of art.

Among the container crew is WordFest, Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, and Spark. The events are a part of the Fluid Movement Arts Festival and should not be missed.

For a list of all the events taking place, check out the ContainR Project website.
