Update Tuesday, October 14, 2021: After more than a year of the pilot, the parking changes have now been made permanent. Please read all signs when choosing parking on Stephen Avenue.
New signs have been erected on the 200 & 300 Blocks of Stephen Avenue (8th ave SW) and they affect parking on the mall.
For those of you who frequent the Stephen Avenue pedestrian mall during the day, it’s business as usual (That means no parking). The change only affects parking on Stephen Avenue between 6pm and 6am, 7 days a week.
As a part of a trial extending in to 2014, the parking on Stephen Avenue between 1st & 3rd street has been converted into expanded taxi & no stopping zones. The goal is to cut down on congestion and increase the safety of area by ensuring that emergency vehicles have a safe and easy time accessing Stephen Ave. Additionally, the pilot program should make finding a taxi on Stephen Avenue much easier.

Visit the site on your computer, or any mobile device and search the name or the address of where you’re headed and the site will find you places to park.
If you’re coming down for the evening, you can park in a Calgary Parking Authority parkade after 6pm for only $2-$5 (until 6am the next day). If you’re coming downtown on Friday, you can park until 6am (10am if you need to extend your stay) the next day in any Calgary Parking Authority parkade for just $5 starting at 11am. CPA parkades are connected to the Plus15 system for added convenience.
