The Big Taste website coming soon – Website live Feb 17

The Big Taste dining festival runs from March 4 to 13, 2016 but on February 17th we’ll be posting all the restaurant menus and releasing all the tickets for the culinary events. You’ll want to get your tickets and make your reservations on February 17th, once the website goes live as tickets and tables fill up.

To celebrate the Year of Music and Calgary’s hosting of the JUNO Awards, Honens showcases the city’s classical music scene at a free noon-hour concert in downtown Calgary. Three of the world’s most exciting pianists perform on three grand pianos at Calgary’s only urban retail destination—the CORE. This is a unique opportunity to hear 2015 Honens Prize Laureate Luca Buratto (Italy), 2012 Honens Prize Laureate Pavel Kolesnikov (Russia) and 2012 Santander Competition Laureate Samson Tsoy (Russia) perform together.

What happens when suburban mothers meet for their book club and wind up in a male strip club? A possible trip to Venice! Lunchbox Theatre is happy to announce we will be performing Meredith Taylor-Parry’s Book Club in a world premiere from February 8, 2016 to February 27, 2016. An audience favourite at the 2014 Stage One festival, this mad cap, adventure-filled romp demonstrates the all-too-real pressures of motherhood and reveals just how far true friends will go for each other.


Dance on Film – Feb 20, 2016

Skate in Nature – Feb 20, 2016

Wipe away those winter blues! Grab your skates and head down to Prince’s Island Park this winter for The City of Calgary’s free Skate in Nature program. Enjoy some fresh air with family and friends, get toasty by the fire, and learn how local plants and animals adapt to the cold weather with some fun nature activities.
