YYC HOT CHOCOLATE FEST - All of February 2017

YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is the friendly and delicious competition to find the local business who offers Calgary’s Best Hot Chocolate and Calgary’s Best Spirited Hot Chocolate, as voted by Calgarians!

Over 75 local cafes, restaurants, and chocolatiers are offering more than 80 hot chocolates for Calgary to enjoy. The best part? All of these delicious hot chocolates support a great cause! Partial proceeds from each hot chocolate sold will support Calgary Meals on Wheels’ Home Meal Delivery Program, serving over 700 Calgarians with nutritious meals every day. Sip with satisfaction all February long on these delicious signature hot chocolates across the city.

CALGARY PHIL PRESENTS: KREMERATA BALTICA - February 9, 2022

Violin superstar Gidon Kremer redefines “leading edge” with the Kremerata Baltica, Eastern Europe’s most active and pioneering chamber orchestra. With a reputation for riveting performances, this rare appearance in Canada on their 20th Anniversary Tour marks their Calgary debut and promises to be one of the season’s highlights.

ERIC BIBB W/ MICHAEL JEROME BROWN - February 10 & 11, 2017

With a career spanning five decades, 36 albums, countless radio and television shows, and non-stop touring; Eric Bibb’s relentless love of music makes him one of the true blues troubadours of his generation. Bibb’s soul, gospel, and folk-infused voice is accessible, honest, and powerful. His unwaveringly positive demeanour has found him sharing the stage with Taj Mahal, Pops and Mavis Staples, Charlie Musselwhite, Guy Davis, Rory Block, and more.

Both nights Bibb will be joined by Montreal’s Michael Jerome Browne. An award-winning multi-instrumentalist, Browne has been described by the Globe and Mail as “arguably the finest acoustic blues artist in this country.” Their rich stories and spirited guitar interplay come together for an intimate experience at Arts Commons in the Martha Cohen Theatre.
