Carifest Caribbean celebration, endless ribs at Ribfest and Pride celebrations makes this week colourful and finger lickin’ good. Find all the colours of the rainbow as these festivals send us blazing into the end of summer.

Carifest | August 26, 2022

Calgary’s Carifest celebrates Caribbean arts and culture. The festival will kick off in Olympic Plaza with a parade down Stephen Avenue at 11:00 am. Afterwards, you can join the celebration at Shaw Millennium Park and taste local, international and Caribbean entertainment, food, art and more.

Tizzy and El-A-Kru | August 25, 2022

Enjoy this FREE and energizing event with Tizzy and El-A-Kru performing live on the Stephen Avenue Summer Stage from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

These famous performers will also be headlining on the stage at Carifest in Shaw Millennium Park on August 26, 2017. Visit the Carifest website for showtimes and locations.

Shakespeare by the Bow | August 22-27, 2017

It’s the final week of Shakespeare by the Bow “As You Like It”. Make sure you head down to Prince’s Island Park an evening this week to follow heroine Rosalind and her cousin Celia as they escape the rigid rules of court life for the wilds and freedom of the Forest of Arden!

Performances this week will run Tuesday, August 22nd till Sunday, August 27th at 6:30 pm. Read more about this production and the performers on the Theatre Calgary website.

Pride Patio Party | August 24, 2022

Celebrate our city’s diversity, inclusion and equality Thursday afternoon’s on the Sandstone Lounge Patio. This event features a live DJ set by Girls On Decks, DJ Molly Fi.
