It may feel like we’ve been predicting warm weather for months now, but judging by the green grass poking out through the last remnants of snow from the weekend, picnic weather is certainly on the way. And what better way to celebrate picnicking than with a fabulous new lady-like outfit?

Midi skirts, otherwise known as skirts that hit you about mid-calf, have made a huge comeback. These fancy frock-style skirts were initially epitomized in the 1940s and 1950s, when modesty was key and women loved full, pleated skirts (complete with pockets) that showed off a narrow waist. The style hasn’t been popular for about 30 years at this point, so skirt-lovers are totally rejoicing over this sweet trend’s revival.

Big brands are getting on board with this below-the-knee skirt too. I searched high and low for gorgeous midi skirts that are perfect for your summertime picnic. Throw these on with a simple tee and some adorable sandals, you’ve got yourself the perfect outfit!
