Sled Island
June 18 to 22 - The festival, now entering its eighth year, will see over 250 bands, film screenings, art events, comedy shows and special events invade more than 30 venues in downtown Calgary. The headlining show takes place at Olympic Plaza with smaller shows popping up at The Palomino, Wine-OHs, The #1 Legion and much more.

Neighbour Day at Booker’s Crab Shack
June 21 - Neighbour Day - In celebration of the community spirit shown after the 2013 flood, June 21 has been named Neighbour Day in Calgary. To show our community spirit, Booker’s is throwing a block party between noon and 3pm that day with FREE food and live entertainment for our neighbours in all of Calgary!
Suncor Stage One Festival
June 20 & 21 - Lunchbox Theatre continues its legacy of developing new one act plays this June! The Festival is one of the mainstays of Lunchbox’s yearly programming. Lunchbox receives submissions from across the country and selects nine plays to be workshopped. The Suncor Energy Stage One Festival’s long history has made it the most prolific developer of one act plays in Canada.
Stephen Avenue Events
June 18 & 21 - Two great events happening on Stephen Avenue this week! On June 18th join us noon to 1pm for the second Pop-Up Picnic of the season, here will be games, food vendors, entertainment and plenty of places to sit. This week’s entertainment will be The Loose Moose Theatre group. On Saturday, June 21st come down to Stephen Avenue and enjoy ‘Neighbour Day’ with a performance by Johnny Summers & the Little Big Band at 1:30pm.
