Street Style Huntress: #meetmeonwednesday

by Aldona Barutowicz · 0 comments

I have to start by saying Happy New Year! I hope 2018 brings you all the joy and happiness - and style inspiration too!

Ok, and now back to regular Street Style Huntress programming. . .

What I love about Calgary is that it’s ever expanding and introducing us to something new - especially on the restaurant scene.

I had the great pleasure of checking out The Wednesday Room at a media preview night back in November and I was delighted by the decor and delicious drinks (I now can’t wait to go back to enjoy some food!). When it came time to capture Pamela Clark and her personal style, this was a no-brainer.

Clark’s style is sleek and minimalistic, yet never without pizazz - I love how she adds lovely touches that take her ensembles to the next level (such as the beautiful lace piece peeking out from underneath her oversized sweater). Her classic pieces are divine for curating a gorgeous closet and for a multitude of future outfits that she beautifully puts together with her personal flair.

So if you’re looking for that 2018 style inspiration, make sure you check out and keep tabs on this stylish lady!

How would you describe your personal style?

I would describe my personal style as minimalistic. My wardrobe incorporates a predominantly neutral colour palette, a lot of black and the occasional pop of colour. I tend to wear more structured pieces in the winter months and add more feminine pieces in the warmer months. I enjoy the juxtaposition of masculine and feminine.

What are some of your influences when it comes to fashion?

International fashion influencers and bloggers are where I draw inspiration from. Victoria Magrath (inthefrow) and Lydia Elise Millen are two British ladies I keep my eye on. They have exquisite taste and are always well polished.

What are some of your favourite stores and shopping destinations in Downtown Calgary?

The ultimate shopping destination in Downtown Calgary, for me, is Holt Renfrew. I could spend hours wandering the store gazing at shoes, handbags and the latest contemporary brands.

What are some of your favourite Downtown YYC spots?

Many of my favourite restaurants are located on Steven Avenue – 60’s inspired, The Wednesday Room and Blink Restaurant & Bar. My husband and I like to create “culinary tours” where we restaurant hop for appetizers, the main-course and dessert.

What are some of your favourite trends right now?

I love more classic pieces that can be adaptable for other seasons. My favourite items are sock booties, oversized sweaters, slip dresses and statement earrings. I’m currently on the hunt for a bold, bright red statement earring!

What fashion advice would you give to others?

Always steam, iron or lint-roll your clothing items!

Tell us more about the projects and work that you’re involved with.

Currently, I work for a boutique public relations firm, PARKER PR, as an Account Manager. My day-to-day activities are ever changing and require me to be flexible and adaptable. I am focused on building strong networks and relationships within my community.

How does your work influence your personal style?

I work in a creative industry which allows me the luxury to experiment and dress in a way that is true to my personal style. With little limitations, I enjoy curating a wardrobe that I can wear day and night.
