While it may not feel like it at the moment, spring is just around the corner. To get us pumped for fresh flowers and manicured toes, Holt Renfrew‘s Vice President and Fashion Editor Lisa Tant stopped through town to share some serious spring trends for accessories and shoes for the upcoming season!
WHITE NOW: Accessories are looking white-hot and bold for spring. Lisa Tant’s advice is to avoid wearing too much white together so you don’t look like you are wearing a uniform. Stick with a crisp white leather tote or menswear-inspired brogues.
SLEEK SACKS: Functionality and practicality take on beautiful new forms with spring’s biggest carry-all: a sleek and chic backpack that will keep all of your essentials packed away neatly. Patterns, leathers, mattes - skip the bulky grade-school sack and go for something a bit more elevated.
FLATS FORWARD: Flats, flats + more flats! Ladies who loathe heels can rejoice in the resurgence in adorable flats all spring long. While the classic ballerina flat is a closet staple, try wearing flats with a bit more point to the toe for an extra lady-like kick.
THE BLING RING: A little bit of glitz and glamour goes along way - we are still seeing some beautiful gold and sparkly baubles to compliment your spring-fresh outfits.
STRAPPY SHOWSTOPPERS: Just as flats are back, strappy heels are also making a comeback. Delicate details like tiny bows and ankle cuffs will keep you looking gorgeous as you sprint across town.
BRIGHT POPS: Neon has not left the building. Bring a bit of pop to your outfit with a splash of hot neon accessories. Instead of going for a bold dress, try something simpler like a great hot pink clutch or an orange lip.
SUGAR RUSH: Reserved for only the sweetest of the sweet, the trend of sugary candy shades has a gorgeous vintage feel to it. Soft aquas, pale pinks and juicy corals - this is one trend that anyone with a sweet tooth will get on board with!
